Farm Health Planning

FREE Farm Health Planning Programme

We are delighted to invite you to join the Hampden Farm Vets new initiative on proactive Farm Health Planning. We were successful in a bid to secure funding for this project from DEFRA.

Our programme is for both dairy and beef farms. The principles of biosecurity, disease control and the premise of "prevention is better that cure" will be key issues along with the main problem areas of mastitis, infertility, lameness, pneumonia etc. The core aims are to improve animal health and welfare and to increase profitability.

The initiative will involve:

  • regular discussion group seminars on current issues
  • two FREE individual farm health planning visits for each participating farm

Active planning will be promoted through surveillance, risk management, measurement, monitoring and reviews.

We believe this is an invaluable opportunity for us all to assess current on farm practices and positively direct your plans going forward; and all at no extra cost. Please complete the enclosed reply form and do contact us with any queries.

We look forward to developing a closer working partnership with you.
