Our Barrettstown Equine Clinic, is equipped with both Standing Surgery and Theatre surgical facilities for operations under General Anaesthesia.

Both sarcoids and melanomas are an ever present concern for many equine owners and require different treatment options based on their type and location.

At Hampden’s we have our own dual wavelength laser for removal of masses, this can be done at your yard or in our clinic.

We also liaise and apply cream supplied by Equine Medical Solutions for sarcoids that cannot be treated via the laser.

We have multiple different scope types that allow us to image various different areas of our patients.

We offer gastroscopy to assess your horse for stomach ulcers, where they stay with us the night before, get scoped and come home with a tailored treatment and feeding plan.

Our respiratory endoscope allows us to assess for conditions including equine asthma, respiratory infections and poor performance related anatomies.

We offer in the field castrations at home or within our clinic theatre.

Therefore, we can cover routine castrations, both standing or under General Anaesthesia, as well as Rig operations in our theatre.
